It’s that time of the year again – elderflower harvest. Hurray!
We of course mix ours with ginger & lime syrup to make it even more scrummy!
If you’re planning to pick your own, here’s a few of our tips that we have learnt through bitter experience, to make your picking as fruitful as possible (pardon the pun)!
- Bring an old-fashioned walking stick with a curved handle – perfect for hooking down high branches and flowers
- Wear jeans or trousers- no shorts here
- Make sure you don’t cover the elderflowers or they will sweat and turn brown
- Forget the stalks- only the flower heads!
Here’s a photo of some we made earlier!
Happy picking, were off for a well-deserved Elderflower G&T- CHEERS!
